This should never have gone to trial. Even though homicide is mentioned on the original medical examiner's report the conclusion of murder was never found.

Given Floyd’s heart condition. Given the toxicology report showed high levels of fentanyl in his system. Given there was no damage to Floyd’s neck or trachea. You cannot say that Floyd definitively died of asphyxiation. Which, leaves reasonable doubt as to how Floyd died.
