We, the undersigned, call on Attorney General Eric Holder and the U.S. Department of Justice to intervene in the case of Damian Monroe Williams and recommend that Governor Jerry Brown of California immediately grant a new trial to Damian Williams. Damian Williams is an outstanding citizen, who has been racially profiled and targeted by the Los Angeles police department, who has had a long history of brutality and corruption, due to his role in the 1992 Los Angeles Rebellion.

Systemic police corruption, judicial and prosecutorial misconduct, convicted by the testimoney of known drug addicts, Attorney incompetence and Damian's steadfast assertion of innocence, have all made this case a symbol of U.S. justice gone wrong.
