Final supporters
Colleges are increasing their tuition costs at about 5% each year. With the rise of tuition costs, it discourages students to get into a four year because of how much debt they will go into after graduating. High tuition costs also affects how the student works in school. Most students work more than one job just to help pay for their classes. But because of work, students won't be able to really focus on being a full-time student, leading to taking fewer classes and slowing their graduation rate.
We all want to get a good education. We all want ACCESS to a good education. But with colleges increasing tuition costs, it makes it harder for students to earn their degree.
Community College should be free in order to give students a better chance of getting into a four year university. Free community college will allow students to focus on their studies without having to worry at all about making their tuition payments or financial aid, setting them up for academic success for the future.
So please, if you want to see change in our education system, sign our petition! Change starts with us!

I really did not think this would gain so much traction when I first put the idea out there in the middle of the night. It is kind of wild to see how many people are actually feeling this same stress about tuition and juggling multiple jobs just to get by. Honestly I am feeling pretty fired up now since it seems like we finally have some real momentum building behind this thing.

my kid is drowning in loans already and he just started. this is long overdue.
Fix this now. Kids are starting their lives in a hole and it’s pathetic.
so many talented people cant even start school because they are scared of the debt. makes no sense for our country.
EDUCATION SHOULD BE A RIGHT NOT A LUXURY FOR THE WEALTHY. stop the greed.
working 30 hours a week while taking full time classes is burning me out. it shouldnt be this hard just to get an associates degree.

i had to drop out because i couldnt afford the books and the tuition at the same time. really hope this happens.
