I agree this is a stupid rule and will cause more problems than solutions

There's no sense to this rule. Dancers have been choosing whether to wear tights or socks on their own for years - and adults are capable of making their own decisions!

Unbelievable, that we even have to discuss, whether we are allowed to choose between socks or poodles!! This is so much last century!

This justs screams of discrimination. Such an abhorrent and unnecessary 'rule'. Let's see how long it lasts THIS time.

I completely agree that any dancer, given that their dress complies with the length rules, should be allowed to wear the traditional poodle socks. Tights should be personal discretion based on comfort and not enforced on dancers. Particularly because dancers, often considered "old" once they reach a certain age, are now being discriminated and publically branded as an adult dancer, especially since most age groups at common feisanna are 16&Over.

Be it tights or socks, the dancers should be given the right to chose by themselves. Limiting them to just black tights solely based on age is offensive, it takes away from their pleasure to dance and confidence, which in most of the cases leads to poor performance and even quitting the feis side of ID. Dancers of any age should be given guidelines for what suits them best, but not forced in any way.
