Let us choose what we want to wear! We want to feel our best when dancing, whether that means wearing tights or socks.

As an older dancer (39) I prefer dancing in poodle socks as they look much better on stage than the black tights which hide ones legs and muscles. My skirt is just maintained at an appropriate length for poodle socks.

I think this is unfair and makes the dancer blend in with their background

I agree that we should have the choice.

I have never understood the point of this rule. Legs are legs. Let dancers choose what they're more comfortable in.

I used to have very bad eczema on my whole body and wearing a skirt and socks was a difficult experience for me. This is a brilliant idea to make Irish dancing more inclusive.

I strongly disagree with this rule set by clrg as it is very unfair to dancers and black tights actually make your legs look smaller and during a competition you want to make them look elongated not shorter
CLRG CHANGE THE RULES BACK TO HAVE FREEDOM OF CLOTHING

While I usually prefer dancing in tights, I believe that every dancer of any age should be allowed to choose the legwear with which they're most comfortable, provided that it doesn't distract from their dancing.

As a senior lady Irish dance, I have always been against the tights rule. It should be optional for a dance to choose between tights and socks and dancing in tights does effect the way a dancer dances. Give us a choice, not a restriction.
