The court finally vacated the conviction and Carlos is walking out of those prison doors today. Seeing justice happen after all this pain is a miracle I cannot fully describe yet. We will remain vigilant to ensure his life is never torn apart like this again.
SPM(Carlos coy) was sent to prison for 45 years of sexual assualt to a child and did not have a fair trial. He was convicted with no evidence and fined 10,000 u.s dollars. Between 1991 and 1997 the average sentence length was 18.6 years. The average sentence of convicted rapists released from state prisons has remained stable at 10 years, but Carlos coy was sentenced 45 years. In 2004 a review was conducted of over 800 cases by a nurse at the Houston child assesment center including 170 cases that have led to convictions or in which charges are pending. District attorney Chuck Rosenthal exressed concern that some people may have been wrongfully convicted based on taft's work. Not only did they not interview the child but the judge didn't even talk to Spm's laywer during the case.
Please help us free him he deserves freedom!!!
I have been spending my nights reviewing the court documents and it is clear that justice was never served for Carlos. The lack of evidence in this case haunts me and I will not stop fighting until the truth comes to light.

Seeing this level of support for Carlos gives me the strength to keep fighting for the justice he was denied. Knowing so many people recognize the truth about his trial makes me feel like we are finally chipping away at this nightmare.

Carlos had an unfair trail lack of evidence. I don't understand why he was convicted if he didn't do the crime. I don't believe he done it. It sounds like a set up because some was money hungry. Free the man everybody know he didn't do it. The system owes this man a lot 15 years and still doing time I got no respect for the systems action

When not given a fair trial you should always have a second chance to prove yourself. The conviction for pedophiles is 10 not 45 that’s essentially letting him rot

I just want everyone to think of all the innocent people that were wrongly incarcerated and with such weak evidence how can you be sure he's guilty?
