He apparently kept the gun as a souvenir,so did hundreds of soldiers keep weapons after WW22,do we also send them to jail?

YES, ITS AGAINST THE LAW, BUT GIVE THE BLOKE A BREAK, IT IS AWFULL, WHEN YOU THINK OF WHAT HE HAS BEEN THROUGH FOR OUR COUNTRY, AND TO BE TRATED LIKE THIS. WHEN YOBS WALK FREE EVERY DAY. RELEASE HIM.

Another disgraceful decision regarding our unsung heroes who have put their lives on the line in defence of our country. The Queen should pardon him as part of her birthday celebrations.
