The verdict regarding Amir Amirgholi has been reversed and his release is secured. My team is currently coordinating with legal counsel to oversee the final administrative steps of his transition. We will be monitoring the situation closely to ensure the resolution is fully enacted.

We are bringing this to your attention because we need your help to reverse this unjust and absorbed verdicts on this Activist.
Amir Amir ghouli is a leftist student activist and a children rights advocate. He was arrested on December 2014 for participating on a rally to support people of Kobani in their resistance against ISIS.
After persistent questioning, he was put in solitary confinement. One year after detention, he was sentenced to 21 years in prison through an unfair and unjust trial in Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court, presided by Judge Salavati ( famous for his heartrate towards activists and conducting unfair trials)
The “Revolutionary Court” has charged him of "insulting the sanctity of Islam and leaders", because of what he wrote on “Facebook” and "disturbing public order", because of his presence in "rally in Tehran in support of Kobani”.
According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and its related covenants, all of what this political prisoner is accused of are parts of freedom of thought, conscience and expression. Mr. Amir Amir Gholi in Facebook was making comments in accordance to his leftists views. His political activism was open and peaceful. Therefore, this court order is invalid and against human rights.

۱۳۹۳ به دلیل برگزاری تجمعات صلح آمیز حمایتی از مردم
کوبانی توسط نهادهای امنیتی ایران بازداشت شد، در دی ماه ۱۳۹۴ و پس از بیش
از یک سال بلاتکلیفی، به اتهاماتی نظیر "توهین به مقدسات"، “توهین به رهبری”،"اجتماع
وتبانی برای اقدام علیه امنیت ملی"، "اخلال در نظم عمومی از طریق شرکت در
تجمعات" و" تبلیغ علیه نظام" از سوی شعبه ی ۱۵ دادگاه انقلاب تهران به ریاست قاضی
صلواتی به ۲۱ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد و پرونده ی وی تاکنون جهت برگزاری
دادگاه تجدیدنظر تعیین شعبه نشده است.
این فعال چپگرا، پس از دو ماه بازداشت در انفرادی های بند ۲۰۹، به بند ۸ زندان اوین منتقل شد و از آن زمان تاکنون بر
خلاف اصل تفکیک جرایم در این بند -که یکی از بدترین بندهای این زندان است و به
تبعیدگاه جدید زندانیان سیاسی شهره شده و بیماری هایی نظیر ایدز و هپاتیت در آن جا
شایع است-، در ازدحام و بدون کم ترین امکانات اولیه به سر می برد.
وی که در تاریخ 21 فروردین ماه به علت نامناسب بودن شرایط
بهداشتی و در خطر بودن سلامت خود به مدت 20 روز دست به اعتصاب غذا زد، پیش تر نیز بارها
درخواست انتقال از این بند بر اساس اصل تفکیک جرایم را نموده بود؛ این همه در
حالیست که تاکنون هیچ اقدامی در این خصوص از سوی مسئولان صورت نگرفته است.
ما امضا کنندگان این نامه، ضمن اعتراض به حکم صادره برای امیر
امیرقلی و شرایط نامناسب وی در زندان، معتقدیم که مسئولان امنیتی و قضایی حکومت
ایران مسئول حفظ جان و سلامت زندانیان هستند و اعلام می کنیم عواقب هرگونه آسیبی
به این زندانی سیاسی بر عهده ی مسئولین دادستانی و سازمان زندان ها می باشد و نسبت
به عواقب بی توجهی به خواست های این زندانی سیاسی هشدار می دهیم. ما هم چنین خواستار توجه بیش تر
رسانه ها و فعالین حقوق بشر به وضعیت این زندانی سیاسی تا آزادی بی قید و شرط ایشان
هستیم.

I know The Judge Salavati, because he presided my Court in 2007. Salavati is a cruel Judge and a Puppet in the hands of Security Forces.
