The handling of the back to school process from Fredonia has been lackluster with little communication. My UPK student is only attending half days, with nearly every Friday off. I doubt he's learning much in two hours. Mrs Piper said there are no plans to allow the students to return to full days later in the year. My high schooler is doing CTE at Boces, hybrid. The school set him up to go on Thu/Fri because they stated he would return to Fredonia on those days when they returned to hybrid. Now they changed it, with no explanation, to Wed/Fri. I emailed Mr Paschke about this and was essentially told "too bad." It's clear that the school isn't taking ALL students into account. The only good thing I can say is about my 2nd grader. She has awesome teacher and has a very small class size, going to school full time. In general, all of the teachers have been great. The administration is the problem.

I agree that kids need to get back to school. Safely of course, but they as well as parents need to have some normalcy back in their lives.

Too much time has already passed with our children not being in school. There was plenty of time to come up with a plan. Why are our kids still sitting at home and questions have not been answered? Very disappointed in the administration handling this. Thank you for starting this petition!

I would also like to see the teachers be a little more cooperative with administration to do what’s best for the students and not focus so much in their contract

Our children need to be in school! The hours they have to spend on a computer is insane and being separated from fellow classmates is horrible!! They need normalcy

Pushing back reopening repeatedly is ridiculous! Equitable access for all is needed now! Schools have been closed since March, the plan...shouldn't be wait and see. Disservice to all children. My daughter is an 8th grade able to participate in after school sports but unable to be in person at school...Unbelievable!!

This is insane, a lot of kids are having a hard time learning online they need the interaction to succeed. If all other schools can be in person and colleges then there is no reason our kids can't go back to school.

We are extremely disappointed in the leadership that Fredonia Central School administration has show throughout this pandemic. Our students and all our community members deserve better. It’s time for the students to be back and school.

More taxes More taxes that is all these bureaucrats understand. The party has to end sometime. Stop taxing people out of thier homes that they sacrifice do much for. Oh...maybe Cuomo will bail you all out. But first the Feds will have to bail Cuomo out. Good luck.

The delay in opening for MS/HS is ridiculous!! I work in a school that offers in person, hybrid, and/or fully virtual. Everyone else can figure it out, why not Fredonia?!
