FF had one of those great voices like Willie Nelson doing both standards and great Spanish traditionals....his voice alone and his many years alone deserve the CM Hall of Fame award. I saw him perform. He was an Original.

Freddy Fender deserves to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame for all his accomplishments in every class of music as well as all his accomplishments as a humanitarian. For all the years that he devoted to making people happy, young and not so young, and doing this until he was called away, he deserves to be recognized and inducted into the Hall of Fame now.

Freddy Fender deserves to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame for all his accomplishments in every class of music as well as all his accomplishments as a humanitarian. Freddy broke the mold of how we perceive latino entertainers. His distinct singing and phrasing were unique as was his grass roots honesty.
Absolutely belongs in the country hall of fame.

I remember hanging out at my dad's shop and Jose Mendez and his brothers would all come by Friday nights and have botanas. Later in the evening they would huddle and sing most of Freddy's music. Freddie stopped by a few times at my dads shop while he was traveling through the valley. Cool times...

I graduated from San Benito High School in 1951, just two years ahead of Freddy. I have listened to Freddy's music my whole life.
Freddy is a one of a Kind and deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame

Freddy Fender was wonderful with his song. Great voice and a real nice person. Freddy should be in the hall of fame.

This should have been done years ago. This man put his heart and soul into his fantastic music. Far more deserving than some who have already been allowed in the Hall of Fame.

Have a picture of my Father and Grand Parents in San Benito in 1916, had some Bullard's and relatives there last time I seen him was at a Biker BBQ he parked beside me, was on our M/Cs.
