Definitely a trail blazer or Country and Western music for my generations, I really enjoyed listening to him perform and admired the integration of Spanish into Country and Western music

Sad this request is being made! Listened to his music all over the radio in the 70's and 80's isn't it time maybe some shame on the decision makers should push this name to the top of the list sftwr all these years!

Grammy award winner, almost every walk of Fame known to a Country/Pop artist.
It is well overlooked and seriously overdue. His wish while he was alive. You can hardly find a Country music fan of a certain age that does not love Freddy.
Why , why, why...Does this need to be in a petition? Please do not disappoint fans like me, do not make us feel as though it can be about anything less than a mistake.
It is very important to the future of country music that folks like myself know that we are welcome to this beautiful genra as fans, possibly artist. I hope that when he is inducted, that there is a very special substance to the ceremony. He is the first Latino artist to be inducted. He is a crossover artist. He is a multi Grammy award winner ect.
He was also a beloved artist by his fans as well as his peers.
