We the undersigned hereby demand that the statue of Fred Dibnah MBE, funded by public donations, should be placed in the originally planned location in Oxford Street, Bolton close to his favourite steam engine built by Hick Hargreaves. We believe that no other location offers members of the public the opportunity to get up close to a memorial created to remind everyone of one of Boltons favourite and most celebrated sons.
