This ordinance is completely ridiculous. People who live in cities like madison have chickens and they are in a city! We live in the country and there is no reason people cannot own chickens.

This is ridiculous in so many ways. It not only was a poor decision by the board but will also decrease the property value of many homes in Wheatland.

There are many nowadays that are creating homesteads based on the increased cost of living. Wheatland has been, and still is, a country living based community. There is no reason, whatsoever, to change an ordinance without public vote.

This is absolutely ridiculous.
There is no reason chickens shouldn't be allowed and the way they passed the ordinance is downright disgraceful
