The centre line on Fountain Street N. at King Street was recently moved, narrowing the downhill side of the road and eliminating the possibility of traffic forming a separate left turn lane to improve the traffic flow. This has made rush hour traffic far worse than it was, which was already unacceptable. We ask that: 1) The centre line immediately be repainted, widening the downhill lane on Fountain Street N., and a left turn lane be painted for traffic turning onto King Street. 2) If room is required for for a bus to turn onto Fountain Street N. from King Street a right turn lane should be provided by using part of the long unused ex-Kress Hotel property. 3) Three Do Not Block Intersection signs be installed facing the flow of traffic coming down Fountain Street (Jacob Street, Kitchener Road, Marmel Court.
