The conditions at this base need to change. I lost my son in October to suicide.

Please give these young men consideration when they have a problem do not belittle or chastised them for their feelings. Consider a shorter time to be stationed in that harsh environment.

This situation must be adequately addressed immediately. This has been a problem overlooked for far too long.

I agree with this urgent request for our troops, our loved ones and overall our country. The awareness brought to this crisis is real and we as civilians also want our troops to know how very appreciated and loved they are!

In addition, make sure all soldiers have access to receive their mail AT LEAST weekly. Do not put new soldiers in isolated barracks, particularly those over by family housing.

This is very crucial for our personnel. Please take this into consideration. It could save our soldiers lives and their families grief.

My son’s best buddy attempted suicide this week and while I think the therapists and chaplains are important, something has to be done at the leadership level.

This is something that should be taken very seriously! To keep a solider, take interest in how they are doing mentally… their physical being will be so much stronger when their mental health is too!!
