The suicide rate at FWW needs to be investigated. The barracks need to be addressed, improved and cleaned up. No hot water or heat in Alaska is inexcusable.

Our soldiers are the Army. Please pay attention to their needs when facing depression and suicidal thoughts and not yell at them or degrade them. Maybe we the people should bust your balls when you don't listen.

I am so deeply disturbed with what has been going on in Ft. Wainwright. It is absolutely unacceptable. I hear from soldiers who have been transferred to other basis how awful and disorganized the leadership was at Ft. Wainwright. I demand that the command start doing something, anything to fix this.

I agree 100%! Soldiers need more for mental health and a new Soldier should not be sent to Alaska. They should look at the % of Soldiers that are lost because of this. Also look at how many get out of the military after one contract in Alaska when it’s their first contract.

Our soldiers devote & put their lives on the line to protect r country. They deserve higher pay & the best of everything. Many changes need to happen in Alaska, to take the best care for our soldiers. Also brothers & sisters should be able to join & serve together. Thank you.

My son died due to his command failing him, Look up Jeremiah Wombacher and see how the Army failed him:

I would be fine with having my name be public knowledge on this petition. I think much of the command on this base needs to be retrained and some needs to just be removed or replaced because it’s tragic what they are doing to these new soldiers. I pray daily my son makes it out of there alive. He’s already had a sgt hold him at gun point and after filing a complaint and taking out a restraining order, HE was the one who was basically demoted because they said the sgt needed to stay working in the hangar where my son worked so now he doesn’t even work in his own MOS. It’s ridiculous and even the lawyer I had to hire said he shouldn’t say anything else and neither should I because he will be retaliated against even more.

I just don’t understand it. I mean I know between the darkness, the miles away from home, and the loneliness, you can only handle so much. What I don’t understand is how the higher up doesn’t see. Doesn’t acknowledge their own soldiers. Please. You simply must do better. They are fighting for you tOo. . .

My soilder is one that being stationed in Alaska for his FIRST duty station wasn't a good start. He was extremely excited and determined to serve our country. With Alaska being his first duty station it has tore him down and discouraged him from continuing his career in the Army.

The suicides at Fort Wainwright MUST be stopped. No soldier should lose their life at their own hand
