I feel Joah painting meets the requirements and would be more appropriate

Really?? I can't believe there is even speculation over who the winner should be....way to go Fort Dodge. Just another way to show what a great place we live in...ha! The local artist should have been choosen hands down. Josh, your work is beautiful!

Use a local artist. Not an artist from a different country. This should have been a no brainer.

This design depicts fort dodge much better than the other (even though the other is nice),It's very colorful and uses local talent verses out of state. I like this version much better.

Josh Johnson' design is far better looking. If he met the criteria that you laid out AND he won the local vote no matter how view were able to vote. His design should be the one chosen and used.

Support local businesses, support local farmers, support local artists.

I live in Humboldt but firmly believe a local artist should be able to paint that silo. It would have so much more meaning.

We are grateful for the Art Council for creating the opportunity for the silo project. With the right design, it will be a beautiful addition to the Fort Dodge's riverfront revitalization . With this petition we are hoping the Art Council reconsiders and becomes as excited as the people of Fort Dodge have become over Mr. Johnson's design. While all of the finalists designs were each amazing, only Mr. Johnson's art captured the hometown heart of Fort Dodge, while keeping the silos bright, colorful and welcoming. We do not know Mr. Johnson, and wanted to congratulate him on a beautiful entry, a job well done, and at the very least .... our vote.

Can't believe how this could have happened. Really, this great artist from Ft. Dodge and you chose someone who basically knows nothing about us...

This design best depicts Fort Dodge Only a local artist can truely see this vision. This should be the winning design

We should support our local artists that are part of our community...not someone who isn't from Iowa and can never understand or appreciate what it means to be from Fort Dodge. Why aren't we focused on being "Up Fort Dodge" for this project but constantly hear the Greater Alliance of Fort Dodge rallying for the support for the communuty of Fort Dodge?!
