Iceland wouldn't be the first country in Europe to use their first names on the back - Turkey already does! Also, it would add to Iceland's uniqueness in their first Euro competition.

I think it is important to reflect the cultural uniqueness of Iceland's naming tradition, and thus keep using players' given names.

I believe traditions are some of the most important things that people have. If you do not remember the past then what was the point in it all and how do you expect your legacy in the future to held if you are so ready to forget others'. It's traditions like these that set people apart and should not be forsaken.
