They should be recognized at graduation , and if this petition doesn’t get all the names we will recognize them some how you can’t keep our voices quite.

It’s so disappointing. My son passed away in 2016 and he would have graduated in 2017. Weber county school district. What ripped my heart out is when the principal told me that they didn’t want to GLORIFY his death. My thought is that it’s a part of the grieving process. It wasn’t to glorify anything. It was to show that he was lived by his friends and teachers. I had memory pages of my classmates that passed in my yearbook. It’s for rememberance. I asked the valedictorian to mention my son and another classmate that passed away at graduation. She snuck it in and let me tell you it touched my heart and all of their classmates. We need to remember these lovely kids. They all touch so many lives here on earth. Let’s not sweep their lives under the rug. They are people’s friends, family, and sons.

All students need to recognized. They did not want to be there just Heavenly Father wanted them back home with him.

He deserves to be recognized, just because he isn’t deceased doesn’t mean he didn’t try .

It's ridiculous to acknowledge students who would've been walking for their diplomas.

How dare the district board members try to forget these young lives! If it were my child, I would appreciate the gesture of memories and a moment of silence shared at what was supposed to be their graduation.
