They should be recognized as graduating even though they aren’t there. They shall always be remembered. And this graduation should be a memorial for them.
I hope this petition changes people’s minds and may help change the rules.

That's bs that they can't be honored at least by a moment of silence and reading their names.

Everyone deserves to be recognized at graduation, breathing or not. We spend 13 years at school, working up to this moment and it shouldn't go to waste just because they arent here to celebrate.

When I was in high school, we had an entire assembly to honor a student killed in a car accident. Pages in the year book were dedicated to her, and I am sure she was talked about at graduation. That is disrespectful for the school to not include their memory at graduation.

There of been five deaths of Ben Lomond students since my sophomore year, including Kam and Hunter. After I heard about the most recent loss, I decided to jot down a few stanzas.
In memory of our fallen friends and fellow Scots
"FIVE"
------
Five held up fingers,
Five sets of hands,
Five young souls no longer around and
Five empty beds,
Five filled graves,
Five young lives the paramedics couldn't save
Five separate families,
Of different shapes and size,
Each one wishing their child were still alive.
There should have been zero,
For all of these things,
But instead we hold up thumb, index, middle and ring and
Pinky promise me
That we've all had enough
Our friends are dying left and right and man, is this tough.
Let's keep the toll at five,
To never raise again
And God forbid I have to use both hands to count our dead.

Recognize the poor boys whose lives were cut short. What harm can a little recognition do?

My daughter knows one of them she would want this
This shouldn't even have to be a Discussion!
