A recent standard municipal audit and an examination of financial records (through FOIPOP) revealed misuse of taxpayers' hard earned dollars. Taxpayers are requesting Council to act on behalf of their constituients by proceeding with a forensic audit to reveal the sources and extent of the misuse. The feedback I am hearing from residents confirms that people are losing trust in how our municipal funds are being handled. Send an email to your local council representative today demanding they vote in favor of a full forensic audit. We need to keep pressure on them until they agree to open the books.

There are many questionable items that need answers. I am sure it will be an expensive endeavor to go through a forensic audit, however in the long run the money that could potentially be saved seems like a no- brainer, in my opinion.
These people are in a position of trust and were elected to manage the taxes payers money wisely and carefully to improve conditions in Richmod county. If it is proven that they abused their position and used it for their own personal gain, they should be forced to resign and made to pay back all of the money.
The Warden and Councillors have a Fiduciary duty to act Honestly, in good Faith and in the best interest of the organization. When a regular audit shows irregularities/misappropriations of taxpayers' dollars, I believe a Forensic Audit is essential!
I'm signing this petition to support an audit because, as a former municipal councillor, I believe once a question of any irregularities dealing with finances is presented, only an audit will reveal the true answers.
if there is nothing to hide , then an audit should be a non issue. Apparently the cost of the audit is the issue as per the council. But there were obviously some other costs incurred that were less useful !

If the municipality accepted a report on boundaries with less than 400 respondents and used that info a petition of a similar number should also be accepted to invoke a forensic audit ...
