Given that for the majority they are driving on the oppsite side of the road to what they are used to and english is either not spoken or have very little this is an excellent idea.

Of course overseas visitors should have to sit a practical driving test before driving here. The fact we have to sign a petition about it shows how stupid and useless or Governments are and have been.

protect everyone on the roads and make sure they have a valid driver's licence. Our road rules could be different and certainly our driving conditions are different. If citizens born in NZ have to prove they have the goods then so should everyone else.

NZ roads are unique and very windy. Foreigners should have to pass a driving exam.

Test all Foreign drivers for valid licences before being allowed to drive on NZ roads . Hire car firms be charged for manslaughter if foreign clients cause death
