Citizens of New Zealand have to have a proper licence to drive on our road why shouldn't tourists that don't know how roads or rules be allowed to drive.

An absolute travesty of justice , unbelievable how she was able to be sent home. I feel so sorry for the parents, the law MUST be changed to avoid this farce happening again.

Tourist visa and work permit must drive yourself, if you want to drive yourself to be qualified to participate in the New Zealand road test.

I think passing this legislation is a must as we are talking about lives. A law like this not only protects kiwis who live here, but actually also protects the visitors who come here.
It is short sighted to think only about the profits of the tourism industry that bring to this country. When it comes to the question of life and death, we all know what is more important.
