Come on, Ford. Situation in United Kingdom is very bad and it is only a matter of weeks, months when this plague will be spread all over Europe and all of our cars will be affected.

I have been directly affected by this with my brand new Fiesta ST being stolen right off my drive. Police have stated they believe the thieves have reprogrammed/replicated fob keys which allowed them complete access to the car. This is a well known problem to police. It is completely laughable that Ford can sell such cars with so little security, you may as well leave it unlocked!!
In my view the responsibility for this massive oversight is with Ford, but of course it is the buyer who suffers when their insurance premium rockets up after being the victim of a theft. These cars should be sold with disclaimers stating that the security systems are inadequate and advising buyers to ensure additional security measures are added to the car.

A car that can be stolen within 30 should be recalled by the manufacturer as a security failure because insurance companies will eventually not cover these vehicles due to standard security failure.
