We, the undersigned, are appalled by the inability of the Ohio State Department of Education to properly communicate the instructions for ordering test Form A for the 2008 grade 3-8 Ohio Achievement Tests.
This action put students who have special needs at great risk for not achieving their full potential. The delay in testing of students who need to use Form A have has been discriminatory because they have been separated from the general education population to have testing done at a later date.
Students and school districts cannot be held accountable for circumstances beyond their control.
The Ohio Department of Education, due to their error, should void the scores of all students who had to have testing delayed.
Seeing this momentum grow reminds me how many families felt ignored by these testing failures. It is validation that we were right to demand fairness for our children who were unfairly set apart.

Total incompetence. The state needs to take responsibility for their own mistake instead of making the kids pay the price. Void the results!

This is discriminatory plain and simple. why should these kids have to deal with extra pressure just because the department cant do their jobs correctly?

My son was so stressed out because of this. nobody knew what was happening and he felt like he was being punished for something the adults messed up. totally unfair.
