Please join me in seeking the impeachment and removal ofJudge Richard F Cebull. As a federal judge that has to power to change the lives of people that appear before him in a court of law, his judgement is sorely lacking. He has displayed a serious lack of judicial temperament and appears to be unable to effectively and expeditiously administer the business of the courts. Judge Cebull violated the 2nd and 5th Canon of the Code of Conduct for United States Judges. CANON 2 : “(A) RESPECT FOR THE LAW A judge should respect and comply with the law and should act at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary.”A federal judge isn’t supposed to act in a manner that promotes public confidence only while he/she is on the bench. Rather, the canon states that such must occur “at all times.” The purpose of that (as stated in the canon) is to promote public confidence in the judge.CANON 5: A JUDGE SHOULD REFRAIN FROM POLITICAL ACTIVITY (A) General Prohibitions. A judge should not: (1) act as a leader or hold any office in a political organization; (2) make speeches for a political organization or candidate, or publicly endorse or oppose a candidate for public office; or (3) solicit funds for, pay an assessment to, or make a contribution to a political organization or candidate, or attend or purchase. The judge violated this Canon when he sent an unsolicted racist email defaming the President of the United States. By way of explaining his actions He stated that: "The only reason I can explain it to you is I am not a fan of our president, but this goes beyond not being a fan," he said. "I didn't send it as racist, although that's what it is. I sent it out because it's anti-Obama."
