I just 'rescued' a tiny female betta in a cup from Petsmart. None of the water was dirty but some were too old and very cramped and stressed. Petsmart cups are the smallest and the cruelest. Even the UK has outlawed this practice.

you stress them out in tiny cups keeping them next to each other and that only makes it worse for the males. I've seen the cups totally dirty water and the fish look half dead. why don't you just put one in each community tank and let them live like the rest of the fish you sell.

Every time I go to the store and see those tiny depressing cups I get so sad. They deserve way more than a few ounces of stagnant water and some lights flashing on them all day. PLEASE DO BETTER.
