Our Misawa base dental clinichas decided that for minor children over 4 years of age that they will NO longer ALLOW a parental presence for nonsurgical dental procedures even upon your request, no matter their medical history, special needs or desire for your presence. Our dental clinic patient advocate has also agreed to and is backing up this across the board policy for all minor patients.

Please join me in signing your name to advocate for our minor children and show that there is alarge presence in our community that disagrees with this policy, in hopes for an amendment or memorandum to the policy.

***Dentists here were once afforded the ability to treat the patients as they saw fit. It was recently changed to enforce all dentists in the entire clinic to NOT allow either parent in the room while your minor children are having work done so that it wasn't just the pediatric dentists policy. Lastly, not only are you unable to be present, they shut the doors so that they are not only out of sight but out of ear range to be able to be heard.
