For Our Morocco, For Our Future: Act Now on Climate Change
This is strictly for Elbilia International Bourgogne students' use.
To the Government of the Morocco and National Decision-Makers,
Our land is more than a country — it is our history, our culture, and our identity. From the Atlas
Mountains to the Sahara Desert, Morocco is beautiful and strong. But today, it is suffering.
Droughts are lasting longer. Water is becoming scarce. Farmers are struggling. Forests are at
risk. The heat grows more intense each year. Climate change is no longer a future problem — it
is happening now, in our villages, our cities, and our homes.
Morocco showed leadership when it hosted COP22 in Marrakesh. We proved to the world that
we care about climate action. Now we must go even further.
We, the youth and citizens of Morocco, demand:
Stronger protection of our water resources
More investment in solar and wind energy
Support for farmers affected by drought
Protection of forests and natural areas
Real climate education for young people
We refuse to inherit a dry, damaged land.
We refuse to watch our future disappear.
Morocco has the potential to be a leader in Africa and the Arab world in renewable energy and
sustainability. But leadership requires courage and action.
For our land.
For our families.
For the next generation.
Act now — because there is no Morocco without a healthy environment.
