I fully support this. Our road definitely needs improvements due to the amount of traffic that flies up & down it. It is not safe for pedestrians.

Having tried to walk this area, I have found it to be very dangerous. It scares me with the sloping shoulder and speeding traffic. I am a resident of this area

I started to advocate for changes related to vehicular speeds, and motorist behaviour with the old Nanaimo Council and with Traffic Engineers in 2017.
In addition to the possible solutions mentioned ICBC has a possible role in reminding people how to drive on a road with one solid yellow line.
Installing traffic calming bumps is a minimum public safety measure. EMS and Fire have already weighed in that it would not significantly affect response times.
