I too, would like to see small flocks of chickens (3 to 4) permitted in the backyard.

In this day of contaminated food I think it should be mandatory for all families to have chickens in their backyard.

I do not live in Whispering Pines, but a community near by. I think having a small flock of chickens should be allowed.

I would like to see the current ordinance changed to permit 4-6 chickens per family in Whispering. Chickens do not disturb the neighbors with noise like dogs do. Chickens are not taken out for walks and do not poop in other people's yards. And even if they did, they are safer and less offensive than dog poop. There are families with up to 6 dogs (or combination of dogs and cats) in Whispering Pines, so, what is the problem with 4-6 chickens? Especially considering the benefits of chickens vs. other pets!

As a resident of WP, I would like to see small flocks permitted in the area. Three to five backyard chickens would benefit my family by providing fresh eggs as well as being an educational tool for my children.
