I have been obsessing over potential set designs and costume concepts for this project while reading through all your enthusiastic comments. It is truly heartening to see so many others who share my vision for this particular casting choice.

Seeing so many of you connect with this vision for the Phantom makes me realize I am not the only one who needs this adaptation to finally happen. This wave of support proves that we all recognize the perfect casting choice when we see it.

This needs to happen right now, I just saw a photo and thought he was the best actor for this and he fits the part so well and I would just fangirl everywhere if this happened <3
Okay, all time favorite movie is Phantom of the Opera(2004) and I adore Gerard butler in it. But OMG, Benedict Cumberbatch as the phantom??? YES.
This is one of those things that not only has to happen, but would actually be quite extraordinary if it did happen.
OMG YES!!! I AM A HUGE PHANTOM FAN AND A CUMBERCOOKIE AND THIS WOULD BE AMAZING!!!! YES!!!!
honestly just imagine him in the mask... the intensity he could bring would be unreal. please make this a reality before i lose my mind!!

Make it a script based on Susan Kay's Phantom. Too many bad Phantom-movies that had nothing to do with Leroux' original book are made already, and the only film that did Leroux' book justice was already made in 1923. No other movies since the very first silent one are better and filmmakers should finally leave the book alone, stop screwing it up and give it some peace. While Kay wrote the perfect book with the Phantoms whole lifestory from birth and early childhood to his travels to Novgorod and Persia to how he came to live in the opera. That book needs to be made into a film.
