Food truck should be regulated to fix the problems, not banned.

This is causing a significant safety hazard as trucks and other vehicles are parked in the middle of the turnabouts.

The discarded food contributes to coyotes coming into residential areas.

Traffic problems are exacerbated when trucks park on San Vicente opposite the intersections. Hopefully something can be done to alleviate this issue as well.

I understand the convenience that food trucks offer. I appreciate the people that they serve. I do not understand the need for 6 sometimes 9 or more food trucks in a 12 block area. My wife and I walk our dogs daily. We see left over remnants of meals often on our streets. We live on the corner of San Vicente and Cliffwood and understand the service that those trucks provide. I don’t think it’s fair that a few trucks venture on to the smaller streets of the neighborhood to gain an advantage over those that are 2 blocks away. Our smaller streets were not designed to be effectively fast food restaurants with street parking. I don’t appreciate that they are abusive to those that ask them to move. When is enough enough?

Seems there oughta be a law, and there may be.... Regarding rule of law: it seems all food trucks must have access to a proper bathroom (hot water to wash hand, etc., with 300 feet; can't find the official code, but it's reiterated here, http://socalmfva.com/faq/ Perhaps this needs to be enforced, may be a county jurisdiction... See as follows UPDATE: You no longer need a letter. In order to operate anywhere for over an hour, you must have access to a bathroom within 200 ft travel distance of where you’ll be doing business. 200ft is measured from the bathroom to the entrance of the building where the bathroom is located. The bathroom must have warm water 100º [Cal Code 113941], single use dispensing soap, and be kept in clean working order. The health department does not recognize “jaywalking” as a part of travel distance. There is a difference between warm water (100º), which is required for hand washing sinks, and hot water (120º), which is required for ware washing sinks. If you do obtain a letter, you can be located 300ft travel distance to a bathroom of where you’ll be doing business. 300 feet is measured from the bathroom to the entrance of the building where the bathroom is located.

We live directly across San Vicente from the trucks and they cause trash, rodents from the discarded food, and many of the patrons simply purchase food at the truck but then sit in our bushes and eat leaving their trash behind. This is an absolute problem and they should not be allowed to park and run a business on the street in a residential neighborhood. Please ban the trucks entirely like has occurred with "for sale" signs on vehicles.

Why are they there? Were they given permits by LA city?

Food trucks caused many near accident when entering San Vicente (Eastbound) from Cliffwood Ave going (Southbound). Many gardenener or construction trucks just cut incoming traffic suddenly from their parked position when trying to enter most left lane so that they can make a left u turn immediately. Please take action accordingly. John Tan

The food trucks on the residential streets are a safety hazard and destroy the beauty of Brentwood Park. Every resident should try to have the trucks banned by signing this petition.

I understand the people who work in our area need to eat but the safety issue is the priority . I have tried to talk to the food truck owners several times but they turn their head away and ignore me. I stopped a police car once and I showed both officers the food truck which was blocking one side of Bristol. The officers told me they had no authority to tell them anything but they gave me advice to call LAPD and talk to Senior Lead Officer. I hope Councilman Bonin would help us. Thank You
