Food trucks bring more people out to the downtown area - people who normally wouldn't be there. The recent food truck festival is evidence of this, the crowds were huge and filled with people who specifically came to eat at food trucks who wouldn't have been downtown otherwise. This helps business for all of Athens, and it's delicious awesome food.

Food trucks are small businesses and have just as much right to downtown as all those bars have....just saying...

You can't have a foodie town without food trucks. It's time to change.

Athens needs this and the guys with the Food Trucks deserve to have a shot like all other business owners!

Holy Crepe serves excellent food from honest, friendly people and there are plenty of cities who have food trucks and they don't hurt the local restaurants. I think this is a great, fun, alternative to eating in a restaurant and not a threat!

The laws in place preventing this from already happening are ridiculous and go against small businesses (in awesome food trucks). One article about the debate even mentioned competition from restaurants being an issue. Um, what?
