I was walking through the Meadows earlier and honestly the state of the grass is just getting worse with these structures staying up way too long. People have been messaging me about the noise and the mess and it really reinforces why we need to get these event limits aligned with the other parks in the city. I am still pushing for a response from the council about the revenue side of things because those Park Rangers deserve so much more support to handle the constant foot traffic.

Seeing this kind of movement is honestly wild because I remember when I was just staring at my laptop screen and hoping for even a single person to notice the grass getting ruined. It really feels like the city is finally acknowledging that the Meadows needs some actual protection now that so many of you have jumped on board with this.

The place is a total mess by the time they pack up. It should be 15 days max like everywhere else.

Fed up with the noise and the mud every single summer. Give us our park back finally.

The city makes enough off these big events. Put that cash back into the rangers instead of just disappearing it.

Its a public park not a corporate playground. Stop letting them take it over for months on end.

RIDICULOUS how long they get to stay. Edinburgh residents deserve better access to our own green space.
