Marriage Matters! Our laws should send a positive message to our kids about marriage and family. It is common sense that marriage is between a man and a woman. As a concerned citizen I am deeply troubled by the effort under way to redefine marriage for our entire society. In order to promote and protect marriage, we, the people of Iowa, urge our lawmakers to support federal legislation that recognizes marriage only as a union between one man and one woman. Marriage Matters of Iowa will present this petition to the Iowa Legislature February 12, 2004.
