You misunderstand. We’re not asking for Flying Cow to be closed. We want it closed where it, until recently, dead ended to the south by the old pump house. That will end the commercial heavy trucking using it as a shortcut. 26 years ago I researched the road use with the county and the village and was assured by both that the road would never become a through route as it was challenged by the equestrian community and adjudicated in their favor.

Flying Cow Road is a main stay in that neighborhood it’s been there long before any of these homeowners that are complaining even thought about buying a house there as well as the fact that they knew it was there when they bought their property ! Finally I will refer to the old saying “ We were here first. If you got a problem, move along”

I live in Rustic Ranches. I work on 50th St and South. I travel the dirt road 4x a day. It's in abysmal condition due to all the heavy trucks. I have spoke to Mr Connelly (head of roads) and he tellls me "if you don't like it drive the other way". So let's get this straight. I pay taxes on property . My employer pays taxes on property. But the town of Wellington won't properly maintain a road? The reason? They want to discourage trucks. Guess what. THAT IS NOT WORKING. Please. Does anyone have a suggestion on how we can improve all of Flying Cow and keep the trucks off? I don't want to bash anyone. I want to help solve the problem.

Lies lies by our govt. Officials! Flying cow road is a joke and our town officials should all be ousted for the lies! I agree with all the other comments about speeding and truck noise. This an environmental area wet land soon it will be contaminated.

Flying Cow Rd has turned into I-95, especially during season. The dump trucks and heavy utility trucks that ALL cut through from Southern to 441 and vice versa are tearing up our roads.

I agree with this petition. I live in Binks Forest not even adjacent to Flying Cow and I can still hear the speeding trucks.

It's not only the speeding trucks but also the regular drag racing on the weekends. Too much!

Perhaps speed bumps would help keep traffic slow. And the drag racing would certainly end if speed bumps were installed. 30 mph would help reduce noise. With all the cyclists and fishermen on this road I’m surprised no one has gotten hurt yet and I hope it does take an injury to get this corrected.
