My children go to the one in Michigan City often. Great to see all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds playing together

Keep the Flounder legacy alive and give the kids a place to go, Cant possible cost more than another round a bout

I'm willing to serve on any board or in an advising capacity to see this project through to completion.

I grew up in Valparaiso, and was close with Ray.. I’m still riding skateboards at 40 years old. And truly believe in the good it does for youths sense of community and self esteem. I have recently moved back to Indiana from Long Beach, where there was a skatepark on every other corner. Seeing what skateboarding has done for the community there only confirmed how I have always felt.. Also please watch this amazing documentary on what it can do. https://play.aetv.com/movies/learning-to-skateboard-in-a-warzone/full-movie

Very much needed. Ray (Flounder) 's memory is precious not only to the Wampler family, but also to the many friends who know them and knew Ray growing up.

I think it is sad when a city has or raised money for something like this and they abandon it...

We desperately need a new skatepark in Valpo. I’ve spent many, many hours at the skatepark in Michigan City with my son and his friends. The most important decision for a new skatepark is location, being isolated in Rogers Lakewood takes away access for younger teens without transportation, skaters should not have to pay for access to the skatepark, and more visibility will keep trouble away. In fact, the best location for a skatepark I’ve seen was built right next to the city police station!

A town this big should have something like this for the kids to ride and not be getting in trouble.

Kids get in trouble regardless of where they're at and what they're doing. Having a large scale skatepark with some level of oversight would provide multiple opportunities of a variety of individuals. Creating a safe environment for all who use it is most important. It takes a community...
