Sainsburys- 35832 tonnes per year. Asda- 32020 tonnes per year. Aldi- 13377 tonnes per year. And that's just in the UK. The amount of good food thrown away by supermarkets each year would be enough to feed over 16 million UK families, and on top of this, the environmental impacts of this waste are getting out of hand. By signing this petition you will help us to pair food businesses in Stroud with local food banks- to not only help the environment, but also thousands of struggling families to feed their children.
