PRE-COVID, before Broward County Aviation Department (BCAD), had all FLL employees park in the Cypress Garage. All employees were in the employee parking lot off-site. The buses use to pick up employees in the parking lot and drop them off (early morning 0400-0730) in the arrival section of the airport where there was less passenger traffic. At 0730 the route would change to the departure section for the continuum of the bus operation.

Currently, the (early morning 0400-0730) buses drop off in the departure section of the airport which has caused attendance issues for the Spirit Employees and jeopardizing jobs by dropping off late due to fighting the departure traffic early in the morning, and this could potentially be affecting possibly others employed in the airport...

So Spirit Ramp Agents/IAM members are petitioning BCAD/Keolis to change the early morning drop-off (early morning 0400-0730) back to the Arrival section of the airport to avoid the major traffic jams in the morning that have caused a lot of good employees to be late and place them in compromising positions with their leaders and job standing. This change would not only better the efficiency of their employer/carrier,but also the efficiency of the airport operation.
