ATAR should definitely be raised (75 even) and Uni's need to learn to share. Students also need to be more flexible and better prepared.

It isn't right that this is happening, and something does need to happen. Especially when students aren't getting placed, yet have worked so hard to get to where they are now.

It is unethical to offer a number of places in an education degree that is disproportionate to the number of professional experience places available. You cannot charge students for a degree that they are denied the opportunity of completing.

I don't think a score should dictate who should and should not be a teacher. But I also do not think just anyone is fit to be a teacher and those thinking to study the profession should think really hard. Is this really what they want.

Placement is a compulsory component of the degree... If the university cannot offer this compulsory part of the degree then that is a major problem! And it's a problem with a simple solution: stop focusing on getting more entrolments for more money and focus on actually delivering to the currently enrolled students!

The process has been lengthy and the order has not been helpful, placing 4 students in a 50 place centre with a kindy room of 8 children doesn't help a grove the goals we need to achieve. The whole process has been rather hard and the response from the cordinators is degrading and rude.

Students should not be treated as revenue. This puts unnecessary stress on students who potentially have to extend their degrees and incur additional costs due to no fault of their own, and also on the staff responsible for placing students when it is impossible to achieve this.

I agree with a higher ATAR and lower cohort numbers. Imagine how difficult it will be to get employment when there isn't even enough opportunities for us all to undertake placement.
