If you are a pilot operating for an airline category company in Canada or anyone else frustrated with, what many consider, excessively restrictive federal policy rules denying access to even your closest family members in the flight deck during revenue flights, then please sign this petition so we can let our politicians, our unions and our associations know! There has not been an aviation related terrorist attack in North America since 2001 and there has never been one in Canada. The hijackers on the 9/11 flights were not even pilots - yet we are penalized! It is time to evoke change and adopt policy that allows for special circumstance access to the flight deck for the immediate families of pilots! Just like it was before September 11th, 2001. My father is 78. He is a retired, 40 year professional pilot, and a recipient of the Distinguished Airman award. He is not a terrorist. He is proud, and would like nothing more than to watch his son command his ship just as he did along time ago! What about our children? Are they terrorists too? Our children grow up way too fast and it is during this precious time where it is vital that we have an opportunity to show them, first hand, what their mothers and fathers do when they are away from home so many days each year. It's time to stand up and voice our opinion and get our Associations, Unions and other Special Interest Groups on side and make this happen! If you agree with this, and would one day like to have your family members join you in the flight deck, under renewed, secure and responsible policy, please sign this petition and then, as importantly, forward it on to as many people as you can. Your additional comments are welcomed and encouraged! Thank you for your participation!
