With the sudden heavy lag today (the 14th of May) and earlier this week, me and basically all my friends on Flight Rising agree that the site should not open a registration window in this state. The extra traffic would complicate gameplay and may not be a very nice welcome to people who plan to join on the 18th.

Not only is the site currently going through traffic problems, but the window is also planned right before a monthly festival. I and my friends can't even imagine how much lag we would get in the festival if hundreds of new people were to join us in the midst of this very frustrating traffic problem. I understand why festivals were laggy in the first year of Flight Rising, but the site is almost two years old now.

If we can gather enough support, I will bring the results to the site admins, in the hope that they will postpone this registration window until the festival is over. New people won't have missed much at all, and their first Flight Rising experience won't be a Bugs Forum full of lag complaints. With fewer people online, the coding guys can figure out where the issue is coming from, and the May festival will probably go much smoother as well.
