Whereas the City of Hamilton assumes that;
1.Carlisle households with private wells will voluntarily convert to municipal water supply and bear the potentially prohibitive connection costs and monthly water service fees.
2. Rural areas are suitable sources to supply urban Carlisle with municipal water and construction of water towers are an acceptable feature of rural landscapes.
3. Residents of the rural and urban community with private wells should accept the risk and impact of additional water extraction from the shared and finite volume of the water supply aquifer.
4. Serious implementation for water conservation measures and incentives are secondary to the engineering solution of a new well and water tower.
and the new Capital expenditure and additional operations costs are excessive when City of Hamilton has an unfunded debt of nearly $1M.
I support the proposition to cancel all further activity on the new well and water tower project until sufficient evidence is produced to substantiate a need for additional well and storage facility for Carlisle.

I have been spending my evenings reviewing the city documents again and the lack of transparency regarding the aquifer impact is staggering. We are currently preparing a formal letter to the planning department to demand they address these concerns before they even think about breaking ground in our neighborhood.

Seeing this community unite against the destruction of our rural landscape has been overwhelming. I never imagined so many neighbors would feel this same fire in their bellies to protect our aquifer. This momentum confirms that we are not willing to let our wells run dry for the sake of poor city planning.

Keep our rural land rural. We dont need this monstrosity messing up our view and draining our wells dry.
450 Concession 8 E. Flamborough. Totally ridiculous plan that puts unnecessary strain on our private water supply.
Sick of the city trying to force this on us when we never asked for it. Fix the roads instead.
