Save Lives - Get rid of the S curve, Highway 70 @ Wentzville

Not only does it need to be straightened, but it needs widening as well.

Get rid of it.

This and the 64/70 interchange were never originally designed to handle the massive outflux/influx that happens every morning in Wentzville.

While i don't think it's a problem personally because I've never had an issue....there sure are a lot of accidents there

Straighten out the curve. Or stop building west of wentzville.

Yeah it needs to go. I was following a car few months ago who barely went over putter line and clipped the guard right under the train tracks bounced into fast lane then crosses back over into slow Lane and into guard rail. I could've died that day

This is very over due.

This has got to be fixed. People far and wide have someone they know it have been directly effected by this dangerous curve on a major highway and a major thoroughfare for the United States.

Yes fix this! Traffic slows up both on 70 and 40/61 trying to either get on or get off due to the train overpass. It is a joke seeing how many guard rails have been mangled due to accidents there. I have heard one of the main reason's nothing has been done, is because it is a main train route to GM. The auto maker and the train company do not want to shut the line down.... The area in western St Charles county is getting populated and a insane amount, thus traffic on one of the major highways in the state needs to be updated. Look at St Charles city. MoDot has been working on the entire area since I moved here in 77.

Very dangerous intersection. Backs up eastbound every Sunday night from Memorial Day to Labor Day with lake traffic. Needs to be fixed!

Please fix and remove S Turn in hwy 70 at Wentzville

I avoid the highway in the city I live in because of its dangers. Let’s remedy this problem already!

Born and raised in Wentzville, I can’t believe this has not been a priority.

A major interstate in this country and this bottleneck/dangerous curve is allowed to exist? Put lives ahead of $$$ and do the right thing. Fix the problem MDOT!

Major, scary issue that can’t be ignored any longer. The state is liable as they sit and watch and do nothing.

I always see accidents here. Definitely a problem that should be addressed thank you
