Fix the atmosphere of the Schott - NOW!!

It is time to do something about the problems that currently exist regarding the poor atmosphere during basketball games in the Jerome Schottenstein Center. While other programs like Michigan State, Duke, Illinois, Florida, Pitt, Michigan and more have tremendous home court advantages, we as Ohio State fans continue to allow our opponents to walk in unintimidated due to the lack of atmosphere that typically exists in a Big Ten facility. Yes, the acoustics of the Schott may be worse than St. John Arena. Yes, we must sell out the arena to maximize our advantage. Still, it all starts with the setup. Students only get a few years at Ohio State. Students make the most noise of all fans. Put the students on the lower sideline(s). Also, the media should not be placed behind the east goal. Move the press to the pressbox. Brent Musberger said it best in the January 18th telecast. Something has to be done to fix this. Coach Matta is in favor of changes, and this petiton will be sent to the Athetics Department along with a formal letter after one week. We are a program on the rise! Greg Oden and company deserve better than this! All Ohio State fans welcome - Thanks and Go Bucks!
