We are extremely disappointed by the display of the City’s lack of concern for the well being of our property by subjecting us to another hurricane season when it’s within their ability to fix it. We expect action to rectify this.

Regular salt water flooding in our streets is damaging our vehicles and there is no valid reason to postpone resolving this problem.

This is a constant threat to my home at 3400 E. Maritina. The water rises on the street with the tide, when coupled by rain it seeps into my garage. This past November with the storm my entire house was flooded with 2 feet of water. With the outrageous deductible on flood insurance all costs were incurred by us totaling over 8k.

The City should prioritize this project, especially now that the City has a budgetary surplus.

We have lived on S Maritana Dr for almost 25 years. I agree with Mr Richardson, that the flooding has continued to worsen over the years with the continued deterioration of the spillways. At the very least, these spillways, that date back to the 1920’s, need to be repaired ASAP and before the start of this year’s hurricane season.

We implore the mayor to fix their own code issues. It is costing residents thousands of dollars!
