Fix the network at Journey Ministry College
At SUM, we require the use of technology to communicate between our cohorts across the globe. Journey Ministry College is a cohort of SUM, located in Kenosha, WI.
While experiencing growth over the last few years, the various networks have continuously been unstable. Classes taken on site are often disconnected, and our on campus professors are often hindered from presenting class. Students miss presentations and lectures, crucial information regarding assignments, and other items that are pertinent to the class. I would not be unreasonable to believe that some of the students grades have suffered, causing a lack of accountability for the investment of time and resources put into that students education.
For several years, we have been given various excuses and reasons for the lack of network support, with little to no movement on the issue. The same technicians are working on the same problem, while students increasingly attempt to attend class from an alternate location (risking disciplinary action from the cohort).
