The band has already suffered enough with the marching season being cancelled! Nothing like rubbing salt in a open wound. PUT THE ORIGINAL NAME BACK ON THEIR TRAILER!!!!!

I was only in band during middle school but I know the pride the band has in that logo, just put it on the trailer!

The city of Dowagiac is sad and all they care about is money and what benefits them. They do not think of the kids or the people that live here.

Please change the name back. The Band and Band Boosters...present and former...have always worked so hard to provide our Band with the things that the School Budget didn't have money for...including the trailer.

As a former alum, whose teaching career was formed from Dowagiac band, I am deeply sadden to hear this. The band and the arts deserve the same recognition athletics get, as being vitally important for the growth of every student. Give the respect back to the students who cherish activities that aren’t “sports”. I’ll still consider band a sport

I am a peoud amumni for Th Chieftan Marching band. These kids put in long hours of practice and have earned the right ro have the distinction of their own trailer. Please put the name back on the trailer "correctly"

As a former band director in Dowagiac, it saddens me to hear this! We were always extremely proud of our trailer and to be members of the Dowagiac Chieftain Marching Band! We represented the district well when we rolled into any band competition or festival and the True family and band boosters always were helping us keep it clean, updated, and safe for our students and equipment. Change it back, the bands have always shined light on the district!
