Why is it so easy for other people to be able to change your name to look like someone you trust. This cant be the first complaint about this. I mean, changing your in-game name is one thing, but to be able to change your actual steam name to impersonate your friends is a step too far and I and many others I'm sure feel it should be fixed. http://backpack.tf/item/1848409347 this item that I unboxed is now in some scums inventory because he was able to change his name to look like my friends and get it off me to show that my friend was trustworthy. I thought I was doing my friend a favor and then this happened. I know that Valve is unable to get it back to me nor are they able to get my friend's hat back but can you make it less easy to do this. The trade username should be unchangeable. I mean it should not be hard to give back scammed items but there is no way all the scam reports are true. I just want the scamming in the hatconomy to not be as easy as that, I mean he put little to no effort into this. Many unsuspecting prey like myself or any other can fall for such a clever ruse.

I suggest a better identification system in which each account has a visible number serial number which can be seen within trade, If possible faster responses to scam emergencies, and screen shot tool within trade and chat in which if need be you can cap and report with your explanation and what happened.

There are ways to track these hats and who traded who, what was traded and what was exchanged, or instead of a screen cap system a backlog of the text exchanged so that when investigated there is more pure hard evidence.

I mean he put little to no effort into this and got off with my $80-$90 and my friend's $50 hat. We have to work for this stuff and he gets it for being scum. Anyway, I'm going to attach the backpack tf history for both scammed hats and I hope I get a response to this. Lets make it much, much harder for the scammers.
